Scientists are the future leaders of industry. We help ambitious scientists start, build and work in companies through education, venture building, investment and lab space.
Wilbe is a venture firm for scientist leaders: putting scientists in control of their commercialisation journey — from learning how to become a science founder and think commercially, to negotiating healthy spinout terms, to building a visionary company, to securing capital, to hiring their first team members and acquiring lab space.
This stems from the belief that science will address the toughest challenges we face as humans and as a planet this century and that scientists will be at forefront of this as the future leaders of business.
In three years Wilbe has developed infrastructure to enable science commercialization at scale: through Wilbe’s education arm it has been forming a novel generation of scientists who have natural leadership both within academia and business (200 Fellows across 15 countries and leading institutions), through it’s venture building capacity Wilbe has deployed a playbook for science commercialisation which produces consistently healthy and performing science-based scientist-led ventures, through its Fund One (backed by a small group of aligned investors including exited founders, gps, visionary family offices and an aligned pharma conglomerate) it has invested in the companies built and through its lab arm it has helped scientist founders secure and manage vibrant lab spaces.
Today, we are at a pivotal moment where we are in a unique position to scale our efforts and effectively unlock the solutions to some of the hardest problems we face this century.
As Head of Operations, you will work closely with our Founders to drive effective operations across Wilbe Group which includes the education, venture building, investment and lab activities.
